Warrens
The Warrens is the third dungeon that can be explored. An incredibly ancient system of aqueducts and tunnels built for unknown purpose, it is now a corpse-choked cesspit that houses the ravenous, disease-ridden beast-men known as the Swinefolk, and all those deranged or monstrous enough to ally with them.

Warrens Music
The combat music that plays within the Warrens are Battle in the Warrens and Return to the Warrens.
Warrens Strategy
Because the Swinefolk are all hybrid Human/Beast monsters, the Bounty Hunter and Hound Master are potent here, as well as trinkets that deal extra damage to Human and Beast foes. Most enemies here also have low Bleed resist, giving heroes such as the Jester and Hound Master increased value.
Provisions
- Antivenom is essential for encounters with carrion eaters and spiders that are abundant here.
- Medicinal herbs are extremely useful, as they can be used for three curios (Dinner Cart, Makeshift Table, and Moonshine Barrel). Unusual debuffs (such as those that halve received healing) can also be cleared with herbs.
- Bandages are very useful due to prevalence of Bleed traps and attacks. They can also be used to loot the Rack of Blades curios.
- Holy Water is occasionally useful for Eldritch Altars and Pile of Bones.
- Torches are not necessary to stockpile in large quantities, due to short corridors. They can, however, be used to purge a negative quirk with a Pile of Scrolls.
- Skeleton Key is occasionally needed for locked chests.
- You usually need at most 2 shovels. Usually, just 1 will suffice if you have good scouting, allowing you to avoid paths that have obstacles (since it's a grid layout). Even without good scouting, you can almost always just go around the obstacle (ie, take a different path to get to the subsequent room). However, some map layouts will be more linear than the usual grid, leading to a higher expected need for shovels.
- Food is not as important here since multiple curios grant food here, especially with Medicinal Herbs.
Party Composition
Bleed attacks are extremely useful, blight less so due to high resistances. Any hero capable of stress relief is recommended as the Warrens have more dedicated stress-damage enemies than any other location. Heroes proficient in scouting and resistant to disease can be invaluable for reasons noted below. In terms of their defenses, enemies here tend to be highly resistant to blight, but still vulnerable to bleed. The most commonly encountered enemy type is Beast, with many of the enemies having a secondary Human typing.
It's also worth noting that due to the type of map layouts common here, scouting is more useful here than in other location (3x4 quadrilaterals can be almost fully scouted on first room entrance).
Great hero choices in this area include the Bounty Hunter and Houndmaster for their damage bonuses against the numerous Human and Beast type enemies. Both these heroes are also capable of inflicting bleed across the enemy party, and can benefit off each other's marking abilities. The Hellion and Flagellant are also frontliners of choice due to their bleeding attacks. The Jester can also be counted on for inflicting bleed to multiple enemies, if he's not busy buffing and relieving Stress. Since there are numerous ways to become Diseased here, a Plague Doctor or Grave Robber is also handy for removing any diseases during an expedition.
