Abomination Core

Chain the Beast

Partyrank 1 → 4

+ Strengths

  • Non-religious lineup — the only comp that unlocks Abomination without leaving Vestal or Crusader on the bench
  • Dual blight source between Abom and no-slot-waste — Jester and Occultist both debuff while damage ticks
  • Transform is a free action — Abom turns into beast AND still hits the same round

Weaknesses

  • Transforming stresses every other hero — Jester is not optional
  • Occultist is the only healer and his heals can bleed
  • Blight-immune zones (Ruins skeletons, Flesh parts) gut half the damage

How to play

Abomination stays human for the first 1–2 rounds, stacking Rake on the front and Beast's Bile on the backline. Transform the turn after Occultist's Weakening Curse lands on the hardest hitter — the -damage debuff plus Beast form's Rake crit chance flips the fight. Jester's stress heal is not a nice-to-have; Abom's transformation throws 15 stress onto everyone and a single bad round stacks that to afflictions. The non-obvious rule: Abom reverts to human form automatically on affliction. If any hero crosses 90 stress before Transform comes off cooldown, do NOT switch Abom back manually — an afflicted Abom is wasted weight for the rest of the battle.
