A Darkest Dungeon party is a position puzzle first and a damage-type question second. The four ranks are the constraint; the heroes fill them in ways that either cover each other's blind spots or compound each other's weaknesses.

These compositions are hand-written from community meta — Reddit, Steam forums, veteran guides — not extracted from the game files. Use them as a starting point, not dogma.
